A lovely spacious house with beautiful views. Very clean, comfortable beds, great kitchen for cooking in. Would definately stay again

Ive stayed in many cottages over the years and this is certainly the best. Clean, well equipped, fabulous views, easy parking. Lovely area to explore. Only slight niggle would be the 5.00 check in time as it was dark. An hour earlier would have made a big difference.

Fantastic location with outstanding views, lovely well kept grounds, plenty parking space. Nice touch was a pint of milk in the fridge and a bottle of prosecco and fresh flowers in a vase on our arrival. Mattress was far too soft in the main bedroom, but the en suite was nice although dated. Main bathroom needs updating although clean and functional. Handy having a separate toilet though, so if a large family staying, 3 toilets is good. Separate shower room looked nice but was not used so unable to comment. Living room was spacious with great views out of lovely large windows, however,the leather sofas were very uncomfortable. The kitchen was a great size with nice halogen hob and eye level oven/grill and great dish-washer, however, the fridge was very old & inadequate size for a family, we just managed and it was full for 2 people. The kettle was a very basic cheap non fast boil and dreadful pourer and the toaster was rubbish, managed to cook toast in 10 mins and was hard as it took so long. No combi boiler which in this day and age is a must. The snug was used as it had a fabric sofa in it and was more comfortable so very handy if you want to get away from main living room. Overall we had a lovely stay, but it needs to have some money spending on updating the basics. Very handy for travelling to Dartmouth, Paignton, Exmouth.

We really enjoyed our weeks holiday staying in Penhill chase bungalow. What a stunning location and the bungalow is so spacious. We left the car on the drive and used the local bus service. We used it to get to the ferry to go across to Dartmouth and the steam railway station to go to Paignton. We took the bus to Brixham too and caught ferry across to Torquay ( check crossing availability) The bungalow is well equipped and it was lovely to return to at the end of each day. Our small dog did manage to get out by pushing under the fencing so maybe this could be checked. All in all very happy with our decision to choose Penhill chase and would book it up again.

Lovely comfortable bungalow with bags of space and beautiful view and location. Decorated beautifully throughout (love the seagull in the kitchen!) Friendly hosts (welcoming bottle of prosecco much appreciated!) I'm being a bit mean marking down re local amenities. That's simply because there's no pub or shop in easy walking distance. There is however a nearby bus stop if you don't want to drive and in the car, it's only about 10 minutes at most to the nearest shop (great farmshop nearby incidentally). The bungalow is great if you just want to sit back and relax but there is plenty to do locally. Convenient for catching the ferry to Dartmouth and there are fascinating National Trust properties practically on your doorstep, as well as a steam train down the road at Kingswear. Possibly the only things that might be helpful in the bungalow itself would be manuals for working the oven, washing machine etc (although that's being picky as we could look that up on the internet) and perhaps slightly more freezer space; if we had been staying two weeks we might have stocked up on some more of the local fish but then again, as the fishmonger in Dartmouth market (recommended) is only a hop and a skip away, we would probably have been tempted to revisit and cook from fresh again anyway In sum, would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic holiday. The property has wonderful views, and great walks down to the sea. The service was amazing with a replacement TV delivered the same day. Brilliant location and we look forward to returning. Thank you for it being everything and more that we had hoped for!

Wonderful wonderful stay with my daughters and grandchildren… would definitely recommend and would love to return A little more crockery ( when using dishwasher ) and some serving dishes would be nice but a minor point

Just returned from our UK week break at Penhill Chase and wanted to leave a great review. We stay in the UK every year for a week because of our cockerpoo Ralph, I think he had an even better time than us! The bungalow is great, has everything you could need, spacious, well presented, clean, comfy beds, Wi-Fi, fitted kitchen and nice power showers, and set in amazing grounds. The advert doesn’t do it justice. Tennis every morning with the best views, walks with Ralph, lots of rabbits, sheep and a real countryside feel, and all with a seaview. The enclosed rear garden was the hook initially for our dog, and it worked great. Ideally situated for the “English Riviera” we visited Salcombe, Torquay, Brixham, Dartmouth & Paignton plus many more towns and villages, all within 45 mins drive. I can’t recommend the property highly enough, worth every penny and a relaxing break for my whole family. 5 Stars

Our third visit to Penhill Chase - a beautiful, spacious and well equipped property in a great location, with breathtaking views across the bay. We had a wonderfully relaxing time, enjoying visits to local beaches, coastal walks, days out in Dartmouth and al fresco meals on the patio overlooking the lovely garden. The fun seaside themed decor is a particularly nice touch, as is the rural location (sheep grazing in the fields and rabbits on the lawn).

The cottage was superb - we stayed with family of 5 adults and 1 infant. We had a Tesco delivery and would have liked there to have been a larger American style fridge freezer. Would recommend without hesitation - may well re-book

We really enjoyed our stay at Penhill Chase. Ideally located for National Trust properties. The view was stunning, a peaceful and calming location. We enjoyed all of the interesting seaside features in the property.
